AFTER BEING married for just eight short years, Madonna Louise Ciccone and Guy Richie have been granted a ‘quickie’ divorce, in which both agreed the terms of the separation.
Madonna’s petition for the divorce was on the grounds of unreasonable behaviour. In a sworn statement released by the court, and signed by Madonna in California, the singer said the couple had not lived together for six months since the date of the petition.
The couple is believed to have come to an agreement in which their two sons, Rocco and David, will divide their time between the couple’s homes in London and New York.
Madonna’s daughter, Lourdes, by another relationship, will remain with her.
Neither Madonna nor Guy Ritchie were in court for the proceedings.
