Madeira has taken the decision to vaccinate all personnel connected to tourism. The mass campaign will begin tomorrow (Thursday). Said Miguel Albuquerque, president of the regional government, “perspectives” are that tourism will pick up in June: “We are going to make a monumental effort so that throughout this month people connected to hospitality, touristic animation, restaurants, taxis, transports can be vaccinated” ahead of the start of what will hopefully be a positive tourist season.
