‘Made-in-Algarve’ debates tourism

A round of debates entitled ‘Made in Algarve’ – aimed at ensuring a fair distribution of community funds for 2014-2020 – will be kicking off on February 28 at Lídia Jorge Library in Albufeira.
Organised by CCDR Algarve (commission for regional coordination and development) and the regional operational programme PO Algarve 21, the first debate will focus on the tourism sector.
‘Turismo no Horizonte 2014-2020’ (tourism on the horizon) will involve a number of local entrepreneurs and tourism specialists, as well as the president of CCDR Algarve, Albufeira Mayor Carlos Silva e Sousa, the administrator of Sonel Hotels, and the president of the regional tourism board Desidério Silva.
Further debates are also scheduled to discuss topics like the Algarve’s land, sea, services and industry, and how the region can ensure a sustainable future for these sectors.
More information can be found online at CCDR Algarve’s site, where people can sign up to participate.
