Lynn promises to pay back debt

Michael Lynn, the disgraced former solicitor, has given an interview to a Sunday newspaper claiming that he intends to pay back the 93 million euros he owes in debt.

In the interview, which did not reveal the location of Michael Lynn, he says he is willing to return to Ireland and “face up to my responsibilities” but added “I wouldn´t see any reason why I would have to go to prison and the one thing I want to make clear is that I am not going to be a scapegoat.”

According to the Irish Times, the director general of the Law Society, Ken Murphy, has rejected the “self justification” of Michael Lynn in the interview describing the rogue lawyer as “shameful and disgraceful”.
