Luz beach club hosts former X-Factor star

Embassy Beach Club in Luz recently hosted former X-Factor star Katie Waissel.

Katie, accompanied by her mum and Embassy brand owner Mark Fuller, who is also her manager, met with younger fans and the press, posed for photographs and chatted about her time on the show, her collaboration with Alice Cooper’s guitarist Tommy Hendrickson and her new project and band Red Velvet Lovers.

Known for doing things in style, Katie then retired for the night to Oceânico’s Belmar Spa & Resort in Lagos, where she experienced next day pampering sessions and the Algarve hospitality.

The Embassy Beach Club, which opened its doors this summer in the picturesque village of Luz, is the newest member of the Concept Venues Group, which includes Embassy London, Embassy Dubai, Hotels Sanctum on the Green in Royal Berkshire, Sanctum Soho in London, and Geales Fish Restaurant in Notting Hill and Chelsea Green.

Other celebrity visitors at the club include former Irish footballer Niall Quinn, The Only Way Is Essex boys Mark Wright and James ‘Arg’ Argent, former X-Factor star John Adelaye, singer Haifa Jordan and American actress Jessica Lowndes from 90210.

Embassy Beach Club owner Mark ‘Abes’ Abery, who is also the founder of The Celebrity Soccer Six football tournaments in the UK, told the Algarve Resident: “It was good to see another musician of Katie’s calibre drop into the Embassy while on a trip to the Western Algarve.”
