Luxury car sales skyrocket in Portugal

The sale of “luxury and high-cylinder” cars in Portugal has skyrocketed in the first nine months of the year.

Data from Portugal’s automobile association (ACAP) shows that 47 Maserati, 16 Ferrari and 11 Aston Martin cars were sold during this period, up 42.4%, 45.5% and 120% respectively from last year.

Also sold were six Bentley vehicles (+50%) and 172 Porsche (+81.1%).

Alfa Romeo is the brand that has sold the most (700), more than last year’s 560, followed by Jaguar (588), up 13%.

Lexus has also had a good year, selling 36 cars in Portugal.

Taking all kinds of cars into account, Renault is the country’s top seller with 23.344 vehicles sold followed by Peugeot (16.278) and Mercedes (12.806).
