Carole’s Buddies are organising a lunch and entertainment event in aid of the Hounds for Heroes charity next month.
The purpose of Hounds for Heroes is to provide specially trained assistance dogs to injured and disabled men and women of both the UK Armed Forces and Civilian Emergency Services. Through this provision, their aims are to provide help and practical support leading to an enhanced quality of life for their clients.
The function will be held at the Frango Dourado restaurant on the Algoz to Messines road (N264) on Tuesday March 5 at 12.30pm. The menu include the specialty of the house – kebabs.
After lunch, attendees will be entertained by Rikky Ryan (pictured). Organisers say: “If you have never seen his act, stand by to be amazed. If you have, would the ladies please try to have as much self-control as possible? Gentlemen, don’t step on his blue suede shoes or he will end up doing the jailhouse rock with a wooden heart!”
Price for the meal, including wine and coffee, is €20 per person. A donation of €5 will go to Hounds of Heroes.
