Luís Barroso, son of outgoing European Commission president Durão Barroso, has been hired to work at the Bank of Portugal, without having to go through any kind of selection process.
According to newspapers, the 31-year-old academic who took his doctorate in Law at LSE, began working at the bank’s department of prudential supervision a month ago. The rule of the bank is to hire people through selection process except in situations of “proved and recognised professional competence”, writes negócios online.
