Olhão Câmara has organised an extensive programme of events for this year at the municipal auditorium in response to the lack of an official entertainment calendar for the region.
Live concerts, exhibitions, theatre, jazz and dance performances are all on the agenda.
Culture councillor António Pina said: “This year, someone decided that we shouldn’t have Allgarve and the tourism-culture element is missing.
“Our budget (€50,000) is enough to enable us to provide a quality programme.”
