Love Smoothies PT are the self-described “new kids on the block”. Bringing a “fresh approach to the smoothie market”, British couple Callum and Lianna Blackwood opened their new business in Burgau, Lagos, this summer as the sole providers of LoveTaste products here in Portugal.

And although their products are frozen, they guarantee that is actually a good thing.
“Frozen food tends to get bad press for being processed junk, but the truth is some of the healthiest foods you can find are in the freezer section!,” Callum says.
He explains: “Most frozen fruit and vegetables are frozen shortly after harvesting at the peak of ripeness, locking in all the good stuff and maintaining the nutritional value. Much of the fresh produce we find in our supermarkets has been harvested thousands of miles away, sorted, stored, packed and travelled by truck. A result of this is it may have been harvested before reaching its nutritional peak, meaning it artificially ripens during transport.”
