Loulé’s MED festival has been nominated for the Iberian Festival Awards, taking place for the first time between March 3 and 6 at Lisbon’s FIL exhibition centre.
MED was the only Algarve event of its kind to receive a nomination (in the category of ‘Best Medium Sized Festival’), after already having been nominated for Portugal’s Festival Awards in October last year.
Voting is open online until February 9 (click here). The winners will be announced on March 9.
According to the event’s website, the Iberian Festival Awards are designed to “recognise the contributions and achievements of organisers, acts, production staff, media partners, brands and all the other major players in both nations’ festival industries”.
