A SEMINAR entitled “Youth Alcoholism in Loulé” will take place on April 11 at 3.30pm in the Convento Espírito Santo. The seminar is part of a wider initiative that began with a diagnostic work conducted in schools in the area. The scheme is part of the câmara’s 2004-2005 Social Network action plan, a wider effort to address problems such as social exclusion, drug addiction and domestic violence. There have already been various presentations about alcoholism by experts in the field, including Professor Dr. Gouveia Pereira, a teacher at Lisbon’s Universidade Nova, and Dr José Pires, Professor of Tomar Polytechnic Institute.
