‘That Good Night’, a film that was shot mostly in Loulé and which features Sir John Hurt in his last starring role, is premiering at the town’s Cine-Teatro Louletano this Saturday (July 22) at 5.30pm.
In the film, the legendary actor who died in January plays a “famed screenwriter coming to terms with his impending death.”
“As he does so, he resolves to attempt two final missions in life: to be reconciled to his long-lost son and to ensure he doesn’t become a burden to his wife Anna,” says production company GSP Studios.
Also in the cast are Sofia Helin, Erin Richards, and Max Brown.
The film is directed by Welsh filmmaker Eric Styles while the original play was adapted to cinema by Charles Savage.
Loulé council supported the film through the Loulé Film Office.
Admission to the premiere is free but tickets must be requested as seats are limited.
