Rui Veloso, one of the most important names in Portuguese music, is set to take the stage on January 31 to celebrate Loulé’s 16 years as a city. At the age of 15, Rui decided to follow in the footsteps of his idols Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan and BB King by taking up guitar lessons. Since then, he has had numerous hits such as Não Há Estrelas no Céu and Primeiro Beijo. Last summer, Rui toured the Algarve’s casinos with the Cabeças no Ar band, attracting hundreds of people and earning excellent reviews. Tickets for his concert are available from the Cine Club Louletano priced at seven euros.
