Loulé’s municipal park was inaugurated on February 1 after major redevelopment works.
The Parque Municipal de Loulé, or the city’s “lungs” as it is described, aims to improve the quality of life of citizens as it includes several green areas with many species of plants, new outdoor furniture to enjoy the natural surroundings, a sports area including a running/walking circuit, a children’s playground and a cultural space.
Covering a total area of 43,000sqm, the park will be extended by a further 20,000sqm after expansion into adjacent land in the near future.
The total cost of the investment is €3.6 million.
