Loulé GNR confiscates falcon

A TELEPHONE tip-off recently led a team from the Protecção da Natureza e do Ambiente, the nature and environmental protection service, of Loulé GNR to swoop on a property in Almancil, where they confiscated a falcon. According to a police source, the bird of prey was being kept captive in a cage within a garden and the owner did not possess any documentation. The bird was taken away and delivered to the Instituto da Conservação da Natureza (ICN), the institute for the conservation of nature, at the Parque Natural da Ria Formosa.
