Two Loulé events – MED and Som Riscado – are the only Algarve representatives among the finalists of the 7th Iberian Festival Awards.
MED has been nominated in nine categories – Best Medium-Sized Festival; Best Touristic Promotion; Best Cultural Programme; Best Communication and Marketing Strategy; Best Live Performance (Portugal-Spain); Best Live Performance (International); Contribution to Sustainability; Contribution to Equality; and Best Lusophone and Hispanic Festival.
Meanwhile, Som Riscado is in the running to win Best Small Festival, Best Indoor Festival, Best Live Performance (Portugal-Spain) and Best Venue (Cineteatro Louletano).
The award ceremony will take place on March 11 in Maia (district of Porto).
The Iberian Festival Awards aim to “recognise the contributions and achievements of event organisers … as well as enhance Iberian relations”.
