Loulé church undergoes €890,000 revamp

Loulé’s Igreja Matriz is undergoing renovation and conservation works, the local council has announced.

After completing the renovation of the church’s portico, the council is now moving forward with an €890,000 revamp that will include renovations to the walls, ceilings, infrastructure and bell tower.

Says the council, the church has National Monument status and is one of the most “emblematic ecclesiastical buildings in the borough”.
