Loulé mayor believes the cancellation of the town’s Carnival festivities could represent losses of around €4 million.
Speaking to Correio da Manhã tabloid, mayor Vítor Aleixo said there is a “feeling of sadness” among the population as Loulé is famous for hosting one of the largest and oldest Carnival celebrations in Portugal, dating back 100 years.
