Loulé Câmara has approved a number of subsidies to local charitable institutions in the council, following the start of Seruca Emidio’s third term as mayor.
During a Câmara meeting it was agreed to provide the António Aleixo foundation with 33,000 euros to help fund exterior renovations works to the foundation’s crèche.
The Santa Casa da Misericórdia in Loulé is to receive a donation of 33,500 euros, which according to Loulé Câmara is to “support the services offered by the charity in terms of day care and hope help for the elderly”.
The Instituição de Solidariedade Social da Serra do Caldeirão, the Serra do Caldeirão charity, which is promoting the construction of a residential home for disabled people and an activity centre and old people’s home in Barranco do Velho, is to receive a subsidy of 24,000 euros.
Loulé Câmara will also donate a further 12,000 euros to the Associação Humanitária de Doentes de Parkinson e Alzheimer, an association for sufferers of Parkinson’s and Alzheimers.
