Louletano FC ended its 2010 programme with an encouraging 3-2 success over Évora. The win sees the Algarveans in ninth place of the second division south with eleven points to make up on leaders Atlético next year in order to fulfil the promotion dream.
That objective appears within touching distance a little further west where Lagos are fighting to achieve national third tier status.
The club’s latest 12-1 thrashing of Beir Mar do Monte Gordo, the biggest margin win in its history, bodes well for the future under ambitious new President António José Alves. Watch this space!
