There are still many property owners who are unsure of their obligations when letting their property in Portugal to holidaymakers (Local Lodging) or renting out property long-term. A seminar has been organised by the association of foreign residents afpop and euroFINESCO to present “the facts and options and provide clear, unbiased information to help you make the best choices available within the law”.
The seminar will cover Local Lodging (understanding the legislation; registering your local lodging business activity; social security requirements; basic standards of quality and safety; reporting to SEF; fiscal obligations and opportunities; recent developments) and Long-term Rentals (current reporting requirements; tax deductions and incentives).
Whether you let directly to holidaymakers, assign the tourist activity to an agent or rent to residents on a continuous basis, the seminar will provide “up-to-date infor-mation to assist you in making knowledgeable decisions that are right for you”.
The seminar will take place at the Hilton As Cascatas Hotel in Vilamoura on Tuesday, April 19.
Coffee and registration will start at 10.15am and the seminar will commence at 11am ending at approximately 12.45pm. The speakers will be available for general questions at the end of the seminar.
The seminar is open to all at a cost of €15 euros per person (payable on the day) but is free of charge to afpop members and to clients of euroFINESCO.
