Players, referees, fans and GNR were left with no other option but to return home when district league side Algarve United were unable to go ahead with their home fixture against 11 Esperanças last weekend. A dispute between the club and pitch owners Beira Mar de Monte Gordo over rental payments resulted in the gates remaining locked.
