Lockdown

I’m all alone said Sam to himself
It really feels very strange
I’ve been in lockdown 10 weeks now
My hair is somewhat rearranged
When I ran out of food, the neighbours were kind
And they brought food up to my door
It was a kind gesture and I thought it quite sweet
As we hadn’t spoken before
Some people do their meetings on Zoom
Something unheard of by me
And there’s FaceTime and there’s Messenger
It was though it was just meant to be
I thought Twitter was a bird that chirped merrily
And just a noise that they made
And although I’m nearly 92
What changes have people displayed
But as for me I’ll do what I can
Although I do like to chat
But this technical stuff is doing my head
So instead I’ll just talk to my cat!
