Portimão resident “Mad Dog” was sensationally crowned the new World Stars of Wrestling European Champion during the sport’s continental championships held at the Algarve city’s Arena last weekend.
Thousands of fans were present as ‘their man’ recorded successive victories over Spain’s Juan Casanova, Italy’s Giorgio Castano and tournament wildcard ICEBORG, a trio which had snuffed out the three-pronged English challenge previously.
As part of the event Rob van Dam also defeated Joe E. Legend in a WSW world title bout, going on to retain the belt against former WWE tag champion Lance Cade.
