A selection of the best produce Silves and the rest of the Algarve have to offer is promised for the second ‘Segredos da Terra’ fair, taking place this weekend (February 12-14) at Silves’ Fissul building.
There will be “sweets, liqueurs, wines, dried fruits” as well as locally-produced handicrafts, say organisers.
Also on the agenda is a lecture about the Mediterranean Diet (Saturday at 11am) and a variety of musical performances.
Jointly organised by the council and Xelb Land, the gastronomic fair will take place at the same time and place as Land Algarve, an exhibition of Land Rovers.
Admission to both events is free.
Opening hours are from 4pm to midnight on Friday, between 9.30am and 1am on Saturday, and between 10am and 6pm on Sunday.
