In a bid to bring some life to the town on the weekend before Christmas, Lagoa Council has once again invited several ‘living statues’ (Estátuas Vivas) – street artists who can stand still for several hours at a time – to line some of the town’s main streets.
The 14 performers will be on Rua 25 de Abril, Rua Coronel Figueiredo and Jardim 5 de Outubro between 2.30pm and 5.30pm on Friday, December 18 and between 9am and 12pm on Saturday, December 19.
Due to the pandemic, the focus will be on avoiding large gatherings. The performers will be located considerable distances from each other and there will also be several hand sanitizer dispensers spread out along the streets.
