“Living in the Algarve” Vilamoura event just around the corner

‘Living in the Algarve’ seminars provide expert information for those looking to move to or buy a property in the region

The countdown has begun for the next ‘Living in the Algarve event, which will take place at the Anantara Algarve Resort in Vilamoura on Monday, November 6.

Organised by the Open Media Group, the ‘Living in the Algarve’ events are aimed at anyone who is planning to either move to the Algarve or buy a property in the region.

Two seminar sessions will be held, at 11am and 3pm, with identical content.

The seminars will provide practical information about living in the Algarve, such as how Portuguese taxation can affect foreign residents, information about residency (especially for UK and other non-EU nationals) and the property market, legal aspects about buying a property, and healthcare advice.

Experts speakers include Rita Branco, Co-founder and Partner of Allawyers law office; Michael Reeve, CEO of foreign residents’ association afpop; Jorge Pereira, Sales and Marketing Director at Fine & Country; Jason Clarke, Head of Corporate Division at Currencies 4 You; Henrique Pinheiro, Founder and CEO of Medal insurance brokers; Richard Vessot, Sales Manager at Quinta de Faro; Anabela Macieira, CEO of Core Architects; Ângelo Vilela, General Manager at Kleya Portugal; David Revagliatte, Business Development and Marketing Director of Portutax; Carla Barros, Commercial Director of FERCOPOR; and Bruce Hawker, CEO of Open Media and the event host.

Speakers and event partners are all seasoned experts and local residents who will be on hand before and after the seminar presentations to answer any questions guests may have.

The seminars, which offer expert information on all key aspects of living in Portugal, will take place in Johannesburg on November 11 and in Cape Town on November 18. Registration is open and free.
