Next stops South Africa and USA
It all started last year in April when the first ‘Living in the Algarve’ seminar event was held at the Tivoli Carvoeiro Hotel, leading to more events across the Algarve and internationally.
Last week’s event at the Conrad Algarve in Quinta do Lago was well attended and deemed by all involved to be a great success.
“I would like to thank the team at Conrad Algarve as well as all of the companies and my great team at Open Media who all joined forces to make this event happen,” said Bruce Hawker, CEO of the Open Media Group and organiser of the event.
This was the seventh ‘Living in the Algarve’ show to be held, with the next one scheduled for November 6 at the Anantara Resort in Vilamoura (livinginthealgarve.pt).
A few days after the Vilamoura event, the team will be taking off for South Africa to host the next ‘Living in Portugal’ roadshow with events in both Johannesburg and Cape Town on November 11 and 18 (portugalseminars.com).
In the USA, two successful roadshows have already taken place this year covering Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York, with the next USA events now confirmed to take place in Austin (Texas), Atlanta (Georgia) and Boston on February 24 and 28 and March 2, respectively.
The events, according to Bruce Hawker, aim to provide important information about diverse aspects of living in Portugal. “We always have expert speakers on subjects such as legal matters, taxation, residency and real estate, and healthcare,” said Bruce. “But we aim to broaden the spectrum as much as possible in order to provide all the valuable information we can for attendees.
“For example, at our last events in the USA and at our upcoming South Africa roadshow, we have Global International Relocations with us, a company based near Sintra that organises all aspects of relocation for their clients, covering everything from home removals to pet relocation.”
