A Portuguesa – Jazz Bar/Restaurant, in Praia da Rocha, recently hosted a palette of extraordinary Latin Jazz.
Anabela Vieira, the owner of the establishment was as elated as her many guests to witness the Latin Jazz master, João Falcato, and his most favoured saxophonist, Matt Lester, play live with one of the finest young jazz drummers in Portugal, Joel Silva.
The trio came to the Algarve after their successful appearance in the nations’ most revered live jazz venue The Hot Club in Lisbon.
From Sonny Rollins to Jesus Valdes, the flurry of notes, outstanding improvisations and the infectious Salsa rhythms combined to make this quite simply a night to remember.
