A performance by ‘The Strings & Things Show Band’, previously known as ‘Algarve Ukulele Band’, will take place on Saturday August 13 at the Vale Silves community centre from 8pm.
With more singers and instruments than before, and as many as 20 musicians on stage, the band is promising a “fantastic lively performance to get people up on their feet to dance the night away”.
“We are now a Show Band playing a variety of music throughout the decades, including pop, rock, country and show music,” says band leader Howard Scott Parkin.
Tickets cost €10 for adults and €5 for children, and are sold at the community centre and the ‘Strings & Things Music Shop’ in Almancil.
Proceeds go to the community centre and the Salvation Army.
