Lisbon’s Islamic community offers “whatever’s necessary” to help Afghan refugees arriving in Portugal

Adding to the hundreds of offers of help and even refuge already extended by Portuguese families, Lisbon’s Islamic Community has said it will give “whatever is necessary” to help Afghans arriving in Portugal to escape the Taliban regime. David Munir, Iman at the central mosque in Lisbon says his organisation is ready to give “food, furniture, translators…” It is up to the government to outline requirements.
