Lisbon’s Alive

DETAILS OF a major music festival, Alive, have been announced by promotions company Everything is New.

The festival aims to replace Rock in Rio, which has moved to Spain this year. The three day event will take place from June 8-10 in Oeiras, Lisbon and is set to be the biggest event in Portugal’s 2007 cultural calendar. The festival will take place at the Passeio Marítimo de Algés. The three confirmed headline acts are Pearl Jam (June 8), Smashing Pumpkins (9) and Beastie Boys (10). Da Weasel is the only other confirmed act.
