Electric scooters in Lisbon are to have their own mandatory parking spots and a speed limit of 20 km/ hour, according to an agreement signed today by the city council and the five companies renting scooters out in the capital via online platforms. In addition to these two measures, aimed at organising scooter traffic in the capital, the municipality and operators also agreed on a maximum number of vehicles in circulation, which is to be 1,500 per operator in winter and up to 1,750 in spring and summer.
