As of tomorrow, the municipality of Lisbon (CML) will be offering the capital’s residents free taxi rides to vaccination appointments. With Portugal’s roll-out currently focused on all people over the age of 80 and those over the age of 50 with select pathologies (click here), the idea is to assist everyone “with mobility difficulties”. Says a statement by CML, people called for their vaccinations should telephone 218 172 021 to request transport by taxi. The offer covers being picked up and returned to place of residence, with or without a companion.
