The municipality of Lisbon will be launching “free universal” tests for all citizens in parishes where the rolling 14-day average of cases exceeds the government’s red lines (of 120 people per 100,000). According to Público, the mass testing campaign will begin next week in nine of the capital’s 24 parishes, allowing every resident to take two free tests per month. The objective is for authorities to be able to monitor the gradual deconfinement and ensure there is no sudden surge of contagions.
