Lisbon house sales boom

Between March and May this year – the period that followed the second national ‘lockdown’ – house sales in the capital soared by 24% in comparison to numbers registered in the previous quarter. Data published by “Confidencial Imobiliário” shows that around 1,400 sales took place (when the previous three months saw 1,130). The average price per sq m in Lisbon has reached 3,960 euros, though some parishes (Avenidas Novas and Santo António) see sales at sq m values of well over 5,000 euros. The most sought after locations in Lisbon are both of those as well as Arroios, Estrela, Penha de França and Campo do Ourique.
