THE WORLD famous rally, which leaves the Portuguese capital on December 31 of this year, may pass through the Algarve on its way to the African continent. Portimão has submitted a proposal to the organisational committee, outlining its capability to provide a stage of the event. The city’s fairs and exhibition park has ample space to accommodate competing vehicles, while access routes, medical and hotel facilities are all more than adequate. The financial commitment is deemed reasonable by the Câmara.
