Lisbon court foils €69 million commission bid over PT sale to Oi

As the saying goes, it was a nice try, but businessman Hernâni Vaz Antunes has failed in his attempts to prove that Brazilian telecommunications operator Oi owed him a commission of €69 million for his part in brokering the sale between PT Portugal to French operator Altice.

Lisbon’s civil court quashed Antunes embargo, saying it failed to prove the existence of a 1% commission deal on the multi-million euro sale.

The money, which has been ‘frozen’ since Antunes lodged his embargo, has now been released, writes Dinheirovivo website.
