IN 2013, the Rotary International Convention could be held in Lisbon, bringing between 30,000 and 40,000 tourists from all over the world to the Portuguese capital.
Lisbon has been short-listed along with London and Birmingham to host the event, and the decision as to which of the three bids has been successful is scheduled to be announced in November this year.
Founded in 1905, Rotary International is a worldwide organisation of business and professional leaders, which provides humanitarian service, encourages high ethical standards in all vocations, and helps build goodwill and peace in the world.
