Lisbon city hall hands over keys to 105 council houses

The Lisbon City Council is expected to hand over the keys to 105 municipal houses today (Wednesday) ​​​​​​​to needy families, 83 of which under the Affordable Rent and Supported Rent programmes, the local authority has announced.

In a statement, the Lisbon city council said that, among the houses to be allocated, there are 74 under the Affordable Rent programme and nine for the Supported Rent programme.

The local authority will also hand over the keys of nine houses to families from the Padre Cruz, Boavista and Cruz Vermelha neighbourhoods and another 13 in response to requests for transfers for health reasons and other sizes of homes.

The Associação Casa – Centro de Apoio ao Sem-Abrigo (Home Association – Homeless Support Centre), in Parque das Nações, will also receive a new space.

The key delivery ceremony will be attended by the mayor of Lisbon, Carlos Moedas, and the Councillor for Housing and Local Development, Filipa Roseta.
