Lisbon city council sets up free health plan for over 65s

Enrolment in the free “Lisboa 65+” health plan, aimed at 130,000 city residents over the age of 65, is available as of today, the city council has announced – adding  that the planned services will start from January. “Joining the 65+ health plan can be done right away, in the adhering pharmacies in Lisbon or ‘online’, and the covered citizens can benefit from the services from January 2023,” said the municipality in a statement, noting that information and registrations are available via the website: 65mais.lisboa.pt. According to the city council, the health plan “covers 24-hour teleconsultations, medical assistance at home in case of need and ambulance transport”.
