Lisbon churches present International Organ Festival

The ninth International Organ Festival of Lisbon is currently taking place in various churches throughout the city until October 9. Entrance to each concert is free and the event promises to be a great success.

Today (October 6), the European Organ Festival will take place at the German Evangelical Church, from 2pm until 7pm. Later, at 9.30pm, there will be a tribute to the music of Johann Sebastian Bach by Ludger Lohmann at the Sé Patriarcal de Lisboa.

At the same venue tomorrow (October 7) from 9.30pm, Nacho Ribas Taléns will take the audience on a journey through Spanish music. On October 8, from midday, the Basílica da Estrela will host the penultimate performance of the festival, entitled Concertus Antiquus with Sérgio Silva.

The finale will take place on October 9, from 9.30pm, and will feature the works of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, with singers and organists performing alongside the Lisbon Symphony Orchestra at the Sé Patriarcal de Lisboa.
