Lions Clube de Loulé raised more than €1,300 at its last two events, a gala dinner at the Jardim do Vale Restaurant that raised €949 and a sale that brought in €354.
The club’s next sale is on November 20 at the Almancil Community Centre (ASCA), from 9.30am to 12.30pm.
And on November 26 it will be holding an open health assessment for members of the public, free of charge, to be held in Loulé, below the Câmara building, from 9am.
Funds raised will be used to help in future projects, supporting the Algarve centre for the blind in Faro and the donation of food to the community centre in Barranco do Velho.
Club funds have also been used to purchase two new cupboards for the unit that cares for autistic and deficient children in the secondary school of Algoz.
