Lights on at Lagoa’s municipal theatre

Following a successful weekend at Cineteatro Loulé, A Portada Theatre Group will be giving two additional performances of their latest production to be staged at Lagoa’s Municipal Theatre on April 4 and 5, at 8pm.
The play, ‘Remnants of an Empire’, filled the auditorium of Cineteatro Loulé with laughter and as the title suggests it is a whimsical reminiscence of the colonial era.
Written by Nicky Moran with great wit and an intriguing storyline, it is one of several of her plays to be enjoyed by Algarve audiences. Nicky has a following of enthusiasts, many of whom recall memorable performances of ‘Lights Out’, Snakes & Ladders’ and ‘Angels’ Feathers’.
Nicky appears in the forthcoming production alongside Julie Holland, Thomas Hartmann and Simon Tubb. The show is directed by Priscilla Morgan with set and costume designs by Lesley Sweeney.
Tickets cost €14 (students €7)
