Self-taught artist Patrícia de Herédia, who gained wide spread publicity with a series of paintings that depicted the Portuguese yachtsmen in the 2008 Olympics, is staging an exhibition of her recent work at the Lagos Marina Gallery in the Núcleo Gil Eanes building.
The painting exhibition, which continues until August 16, is entitled “Light on Earth” and expresses the artist’s emotions and sensations in front of nature and the magic of light.
Lisbon-born Patrícia said: “It is through light that I contemplate the colours and contrast and it is through light that I hold the moments and discover the beauty of nature.”
Patrícia is a qualified yoga teacher and since 2004 has connected her yoga experience with her creative expression.
The exhibition is open from 10am until 1pm and 2pm until 7pm, Monday to Friday, and 4pm until 9pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
