‘Light-fingered’ Irishman arrested at Faro airport

Flight || A 51-year-old Irishman on a flight from Belfast to Faro was arrested on touchdown last week after allegedly assaulting a flight attendant.
According to reports, the attendant had noticed the passenger “trying to take four bottles from the refreshments trolley” that was distributing food and drink along the aisle.
He went to challenge the passenger, who “reacted with hostility, and tried to attack the attendant”.
The man was arrested by PSP police the minute the easyJet flight landed.
On the same day, airport police detained a French passenger who tried to board his flight home to Paris carrying a flick-knife.
