Finance and Social Security ministers will propose to Troika cuts on lifetime pensions of former politicians worth more than €5,000 per month, announced Correio da Manhã newspaper. In addition, the government plans to cut pensions of employees of Caixa Geral de Depósitos and Banco de Portugal. This year, the government is expected to spend €6.4 million on lifetime pensions alone.
