Life expectancy in Portugal drops 8 months due to pandemic

Life expectancy in Portugal has dropped by 8 months due to Covid-19. This is the news from Eurostat today, which reports that life expectancy throughout the bloc has fallen, except in Denmark and Finland. Spain, for example, has seen 18 months lopped off people’s life expectancy. The reduction for Portugal takes the average life-span to 81.1 years.
