Life Exhibition

news: Life Exhibition

ST JULIAN’S School in Carcavelos was the venue for a five-day exhibition on the theme of life recently. Organisers Isabel Antunes and Nuno Cachucho, who met last year at the London Life Exhibition, decided there and then that Portugal needed a similar event.

So, following six hard months of planning and preparation, Portugal’s Life Exhibition got underway and Isabel and Nuno are very pleased with the results. Participants came from all over Portugal (including the Azores and Madeira islands) and the UK.

The Resident visited the exhibition to get a feel of things on offer. We attended a yoga class, visited Dave’s “painting of feeling” workshop, where we found some budding artists expressing themselves on canvas, and the Ayurvedic Indian massage workshop.

We spoke to a number of exhibition participants, who told us they will definitely be back next year. As the Life Exhibition came to a close, workshops such as ‘how to detox, cleanse and feed the body with raw and living foods’, ‘salsa and African dancing’, ‘gardening time’ and ‘Indian head massage’ had well informed everyone of the need to care for our bodies.

We caught up with Isabel and Nuno who were ecstatic at the way everything had gone. They already have bookings for next year and are confident that, with a year to plan ahead, Life Exhibition 2006 will be even better.
